Aorangi Hospital facilities include:

• 4 fully equipped operating theatres

• Fully equipped 7 bed PACU (Recovery Unit)

• 32 bed modern inpatient ward with private rooms, ensuites and SKY TV.

• Specialist consulting on site in a wide range of medical and surgical specialities

In 2003 extensive development took place with the addition of two further operating theatre suites, (now totalling four), and a refurbishment of the existing Ward with the addition of a further five beds, making the total of 32.  Day Stay facilities have also been introduced.  A state of the art Recovery Unit has been established, along with a new Sterile Supply unit.

Patient comfort has been a priority for Aorangi, as is continuous quality improvement through patient feedback which has seen the introduction of SKY TV in each room and additional facilities for the family and visitors.

What was once Mercy Radiology has been converted to a Specialists Consulting Rooms.  In 2004 the original ‘Catherine Wing’ was redeveloped to house the Alan Street Consulting Rooms.
